TRAININGS
It may be helpful for lifeguards to receive training on AAC methods and communication strategies. By effectively communicating with individuals, lifeguards can help ensure the safety of everyone in and around the water.
We also offer training for beach staff, police departments, fire departments, EMS, and first responders.
LOW TECH COMMUNICATION BOARDS
Low-tech communication boards are augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems that can help individuals with communication difficulties express themselves. These communication boards are typically made of paper or laminated cardstock and contain pictures, symbols, or words that the user can point to or otherwise indicate to communicate their message.
Low-tech communication boards are a simple and cost-effective way to provide individuals with communication difficulties with a means of expressing themselves. They can be customized to the individual user's needs, preferences, and abilities and can be used in various settings, including at home, school, or public places.
